Good morning, we’re back, and ITS SUNDAYYYYY. The day we’ve been waiting for. Can’t tell you how excited I am. Today is the final day before some teams make the playoffs and others do not.
Let’s make today a good one.
Defensive Maneuvers
By the homie u/subvertadown on reddit - he predicts each D/ST’s Week 13 matchup, as well as each D/ST’s ROS (rest of season) matchups. Also includes consensus rankings. Take a peek:
Who’s OUT / IN
Adam Schefter won’t let us start the day without a quick recap of everyone notable who is absent this weekend.
One player not on the list: Myles Gaskin. The Dolphins RB was activated off the IR and is expected to be out there for Week 13 against the Bengals in his first game back from a sprained MCL. He could easily see 20+ touches and should start for your team.
Another two absent from Schefty’s report: D’Andre Swift (concussion) and Devonta Freeman (Covid/reserve). Wayne Gallman is an RB2 - but start any Lions RB at your own risk.
David Johnson is also back for the Texans.
The Eagles situation (not the QB one)
RBs: Miles Sanders is second in the NFL in yards per carry (5.6), yet received only 5 carries last week. And now the Eagles went and elevated Jordan Howard off the practice squad to play Sunday. Howard is a goal-line specialist. F***.
TEs: The Dallas Goedert Experience is going well and the Eagles clearly have their TE of the future. So of course Ertz is back this week. And Eagles coach Doug Pederson said they "have to be smart" using Zach Ertz coming off an ankle injury. Doug hasn’t done anything smart in a long time.
But regardless, sit Ertz this week and start Goedert with confidence.
Keep an eye-out on the following athletes:
Allen Robinson: left practice Friday after injuring his knee and is questionable for Week 13. Darnell Mooney is also questionable.
Ben Roethlisberger: Did not practice all week. He doesn’t need to practice, but this is something to monitor.
Julio Jones: is listed as questionable to play Week 13 against the Saints but is expected to play.
A quiet day - a quick read - goodluck
Thank you all - it was a quiet day in the NFL yesterday but today promises to be nothing but. Let’s get it!

Can’t wait until the college stars join the NFL. If you live under a rock - watch what DeVonta Smith did (along with a Tyreek Hill-esque stat-line):
