Welcome to the Week 11 edition of the Morning Huddle, where we break down the top stories around the NFL every morning (Tues-Sun).
Obviously another WILD week for fantasy football - and Week 11 is shaping up to be the craziest yet (Taysom Hill as a starting QB? Please Sean Payton, PLEASE!). Hereâs everything you need to know going into next week.
Oh and Cleveland Readers: We warned you about the weather!!! I hope this wasnât you on Sunday. But if it was. RESPECT. Nothing says âyouâre a manâ like watching a 10-7 football game in a freezing hail-storm from the upper deck.
Week 10 Team of the Week
QB: Tom Brady (Coming off one of the worst losses of his career, the GOAT lived up to his name, bouncing-back against the Panthers to put up 31+ fantasy points. Brady completed 28 of 39 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in the Buccaneers' 46-23 win. He also rushed twice for two yards and another score.)
RB: Alvin Kamara (The first to displace Dalvin Cook as the RB1 for the week since Week 7, Kamara might be the most electrifying RB in the NFL. He put up 31+ points in a game where he only rushed the ball 8 times!! This guy is a stud. Now the real question: Is Kamara the best RB in the game?)
WR: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (In 0.5PPR - The second week in a row we feature an unexpected player as the WR1 (it also couldâve been Cole Beasley). A perennial disappointment in fantasy circles, MVS balled out to the tune of four catches for 149 receiving yards and a touchdown, good for 22+ points. This is back to back weeks with 18+ points for MVS: Just in time for Allen Lazard to return and confuse things. )
TE: Rob Gronkowski (12+ points. This shows how bad the TE position really is. The one week Travis Kelce sits out, the highest scorer records 12+ points. Thatâs it. Come back soon George Kittle - we all miss you.)
D/ST: LVÂ (14+ points - Defensive performances are largely attributable to the poor offense. The Raiders dominated the Broncos. The Broncos take on the Dolphins D/ST (which is really really good) next week; likely without starting QB Drew Lock.)
K: Hey hey Stephen Gostkowski, f*** off!!
You heard it here (and most other places): Jalen Ramsey is the best CB in the NFL
And you might not want to âstart your studsâ against this guy. According to PFF, Ramsey was in coverage on Metcalf for 37 snaps and allowed zero catches on only two targets. Next week Ramsey takes on the Buccaneers deep WR core but is not expected to shadow any particular WR. It is a slight downgrade to them all.
Watch him shut down D.K. Metcalf:
Not Drew Brees Too
Nothing in safe in 2020, not even the Saints legendary QB. After taking a beating, Brees suffered (what sounds like) an extremely painful set of injuries:
Per Dan Graziano, the most optimistic recovery time is 2-3 weeks. Emphasis on "optimistic." Will depend on healing time, which varies by patient, and when the Saints staff are convinced Brees can take a hit without risk of serious re-injury. There is hope he's back in time for playoffs.
The real playoffs, not the more important fantasy football playoffs. This makes Jamies Winston and Taysom Hill both interesting pickups.
Itâs likely Jamies gets first crack, but Taysom could see many opportunities.
Taysom Hill is also eligible at TE this week in ESPN.

Good Lord DeAndre Hopkins
In what was one of the best catches all time, DeAndre Hopkins dunked on three Bills defenders to seal a come-from-behind victory for the Cardinals. If you havenât seen it - please click here. If you have seen it and want to watch it again. Click here.
This is what DeAndre himself said about the catch.
Fun fact of the day:
Thatâs it. Thatâs the tweet.

How many screens do you use for fantasy football? Is this enough?
Yes yes, waiver pickups: Hereâs a video by the Wolf of Roto Street on the top waiver pickups for Week 11.

Thank you to all - I won in Week 10 and I hope you did too. Letâs all win. Now go check out some waiver wire articles and make your picks accordingly. GRAB TAYSOM HILL!!
Question of the Day: Who would you rather have for the rest of this season - Dalvin Cook or Alvin Kamara? Weâre taking Kamara.
Cook, but heavily biased!
