Good morning and happy Tuesday. Today is National Taysom Hill Victory Lap Day, and if there's one thing we don't mind you leaving this newsletter to do, it's celebrating your decision to start Taysom Hill (In TE or QB).
If you started him at TE - be prepared to play someone else at TE next week, as ESPN has removed his TE eligibility. You can read why here:
Week 11 Team of the Week
QB: Deshaun Watson - Boy has this kid been balling since Bill O was fired. Watson put up the best performance of his season with 31+ fantasy points this weekend and could continue the heater next week against the Lions.
RB: Dalvin Cook - What a surprise! An unbelievable season by Cook sees him again as the RB1 on the week after a one-week absence (only 14 points last week. With 22+ points in Week 11, he’s the no-doubt RB1 for the rest of the season.
WR: Adam Thielen - I almost always spell his name Theilen then correct myself. Somehow autocorrect has figured it out before me? Machinesaretakingover? Anyway, Thielen absolutely balled out with a sweet one-handed catch and 28+ points. Bad news - he caught Covid-19.
TE: Taysom… Travis Kelce - ESPN might put Hill as a TE, but we know better. The actual TE1 this weekend was Kelce. Like Dalvin Cook, Kelce has been the no-doubt top player at his position all season. 22+ points from the Kansas City stud, along with the game-winning TD. How did the Raiders let him get so open?
D/ST: Cleveland Browns - So they were without Miles Garret BUT still balled out to the tune of 20 points. They must’ve been facing Carson Wentz… oh wait:
Porn - Justin Herbert style
Relax sicko! Sit back and watch Herbert make some of the nicest passes anyone’s ever seen from a rookie QB. Could he be having the best rookie QB season of all time? Just check the stats, as Herbert is on pace for 34 passing scores (the record is 27).
Another angle here.
RIP to my boy Joe Burrow
Under constant pressure behind one of the worst offensive lines in history, the Bengals only hope suffered a devastating injury Sunday and will miss the remainder of the 2020-2021 season.
Even Lebron is looking out for Joe.
JK is no longer a Joke
“JK Dobbins breaks free” could’ve been the title of Week 11 (if it wasn’t for Taysom Hill). Per Hayden Winks, in Week 11, J.K. Dobbins was the only #Ravens RB to have: + a touch on third down + a touch inside-the-10 + a target in a passing situation He set a season-high in expected PPR points.
But just when you think you are safe to start Dobbins:
The best passers of Week 11
You’d expect the typical Mahomes, Wilson, Watson trio, but look at some of these names:
Derek Carr? Against the Chiefs? But peep number 6, your boy Taysom Hill, in his first ever start, with his farthest throw being called back due to a holding penalty (50 yard bomb to Emmanuel Sanders).
AJ Brown BROOOOO how did he beat 3 defenders
BONUS
We’ll include a deep dive into the smashed watermelons tomorrow.
NICK MOTHERF****** CHUBB don’t need no gloves!
Thank you for joining me on this glorious morning. I’ll be back tomorrow with a subscriber-favourite “next week’s top pickups” article. Previous weeks included Breshad Perriman and DeeJay Dallas (who did well) and Ben Dinucci (who did not). Cheers!
