Stop sleeping on Christopher Carson

The following tweets suggest Chris Carson will be the clear-cut "guy" while being used regularly in the screen game & split out wide within OC Shane Waldron's Ram-inspired scheme.

There aren’t many RBs (especially with a round 3/4/5 ADP) who have bell-cow potential. Chris Carson is one of them.

The Infirmary

Jets DE Carl Lawson suffered a ruptured Achilles on Thursday, ending his season. This was a rough one, as Jets players and coaches were on a knee praying while Lawson was carted off. One of the worst defensive units in the league just lost one of the best DEs, and Jets D will be a unit to stream offensive players against all season.

D'Andre Swift (groin injury) returned to practice Thursday and "took a heavy load of reps." Don’t worry about Swift’s health come Week 1, he’ll be fine. Be more concerned with Anthony Lynn’s mancrush on Jamaal Williams.

LT Trent Williams had his knee drained and will sit the rest of the week. He’ll be fine for Week 1, and Raheem Mostert & Trey Sermon will run behind one of the most underrated lines in the league.

Looks like he works at a fast food restaurant.

Lock also is close to winning the Week 1 starting QB job, which would be good news for Courtland Sutton and KJ Hamler, as Teddy Bridgewater is more a check-down-to-Jerry-Jeudy type of guy.

Stop drafting Breshad Perriman

Start drafting Tyrell Williams, the Lions WR1.

TJ Hockenson is having an outstanding camp, but there has been a steady drumbeat that Tyrell Williams is the Lions' WR1. Burke also notes Breshad Perriman isn't playing well and has been running with the backups this week (although staff may be easing him in after injury).

5. Tyrell Williams keeps seeing more and more looks from Goff, especially in a 10- to 15-yard window as Williams works across the middle. Goff's still building his rapport with a lot of guys, but it seems pretty far along with Williams. He's WR1 right now, no question.
