How about some Dan Arnold love! Haha he was our deep sleeper TE of the week (even though Max Williams ended up starting) and delivered with a perfect 6.9.
Letās get into it!
Who is Salvon Ahmed and why did people pick him up?
Salvon Ahmed, the Dolphins new RB1 and waiver wire darling ran weirdly slow at the combine (4.62) after hitting a hand-timed 4.32!! at the Husky Combine last March. He ran āsmartā last week, if that makes sense. Took what was given, shifty and good burst through the hole. For now, he makes sense until Breida is back - and Gaskin - at which point he might not be worth holding onto a bench spot for.
You could also call him Salvotion Army and hope for the best.
We talkinā about practice
Or rather, missed-practice. And some really great players:
Chiefsā RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire did not practice yesterday due to an unknown illness. He remains expected to play.
Lionsā RB DāAndre Swift did not practice yesterday due to a concussion, putting his availability for Sundayās game in question. Just reading that makes you think how desensitized we are to brain injuries. But Swift could still be a league-winner.
Speaking after Thursday's missed practice, Alvin Kamara (foot) said "Iām feeling good." āIāll be alright," Kamara said of his Week 11 status. It's encouraging, but youāll have to keep an eye on this.
Teddy Bridgewater (knee) says he's taking his Week 11 status "one day at a time." After conflicting reports, Ian Rapoport said Bridgewater is "unlikely" to play.
Tee Higgins was also held out of Thursday's practice with an unknown illness. Hopefully, itās not Covid and heās good to go Sunday.
The Washington Football Backfield
Antonio Gibson? J.D. McKissic? Both? Neither? Derrius Guice?
Ok so not Guice. Washington is currently a 1.5-point favorite against the Bengals (league avg FPG against RBs) and per Hayden Winks:
Touch shares while leading: Antonio Gibson (36%) vs. McKissic (11%)
Touch shares while trailing: Antonio Gibson (19%) vs. McKissic (35%)
With the Football Team expected to win, look for Gibson to see the bulk of the touches out of the backfield - but McKissic is worth starting with Check-Down Charlie (Alex Smith) at QB.
Jakobi Meyers is lowkey great (and could be the next big WR)
A pre-season favourite, Meyers finally got an opportunity and is running with it. He shares impressive company with these stats:
Meyers had the fourth-highest % of his team's air yards in Wk 10 (49%) in the entire NFL - he also threw a TD. Even Tom Brady trusted Meyers. However, he has a tough matchup this week against Bradley Roby.
BONUS
Again, thank you and have a great day. Donāt forget to buy the ābuy-lowsā from yesterday.
