🏈 At last some Antonio Brown Drama
Now, what's the point of Soulja's if you never use them? - Nov 18
Another day in quarantine, another daily fantasy football newsletter, another day of “I’m almost done” to my girlfriend.
Let’s get right into it, so you can read about what Antonio Brown was up to.
Man - What do you do with Marquise Brown?
Last week, the disgruntled (and disappointing) Ravens WR tweeted about his situation: “What’s the point of having souljas when you never use them? (Never!!)”. Unhappy with his role, fantasy owners expected Brown to receive the greasy wheel treatment this week against the Patriots. Not only did Brown not break-out, but he flopped, catching 2 balls for 14 yards.
Brown is second in the NFL with 9 deep targets (20+ yards), two off the leader Tyreek Hill — Yes, Brown is 2nd. The problem is that Jackson & Brown have only connected on 5 of these attempts. Brown is now the WR50 on the season...one spot behind David Moore.
Brown has been wide-open, but Lamar hasn’t taken the next-step in his passing progression. Until Jackson improves, all Ravens pass catchers should be started with caution (except Mark Andrews, of course).
Let’s talk about that catch again
DeAndre Hopkins offered a signed jersey for whoever wrote the best caption to the above image. Even Tom Brady gave it a shot.
Filmed at practice yesterday, Hopkins told reporters “You’ve got to film somebody else, man. Go film the offensive line for the blocking. I don’t make that catch without them.”
Quick injury updates
Allen Lazard returns to the Packers lineup after spending much of the season on the IR. This downgrades MVS, who had been shining in Lazard’s place.
In other injury news, my ego is bruised after remembering I traded D’Andre Swift for Michael Gallup and 2-second rounders in Week 2.
Tyler Lockett (knee) did not practice Tuesday. Lockett has gone back-to-back days without practicing ahead of an in-division Thursday night game against the Cardinals. Coach Pete Carroll said has "a bit of a knee sprain" but the severity is unknown.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Matthew Stafford has a partial tear in his throwing-hand thumb. While an obvious concern, Pelissero reports that Stafford is still expected to play in Week 11.

Justin Jefferson Appreciation Post
Thanks to analysts who will remain nameless (you know who you are), I have zero Justin Jefferson shares. As you all know, he’s been a monster this season. But really, I don’t think people realize just how good the rookie WR is:
Just look at this move. Or realize Justin Jefferson has played in 9 weeks and been the highest-graded WR in 4 of them. This tweet hits home:
And according to PFF, Jefferson is the second-best WR in the game this year:
Next week’s top waiver pickups:
These are two players who will be available in almost every single league but are worth picking up. The idea is you grab a player before everyone wants to grab them off the waiver wire. Last week, the perfect pickups were Michael Pittman and Salvon Ahmed. Ownership in brackets. This week:
TE: Dan Arnold (0.4%) - Arnold enjoyed one his more productive games of the season in Week 10, tying a season-high with four catches, but for only 34 yards. Next up is a Seahawks defense allowing the most passing yards in the league. And Arnold might play every snap at TE this week (after playing around 50% in Week 10) because the other two Cardinal’s TEs are injured.
WR: Jakeem Grant (2.6%) - Vaulting into a starting role this past week due to injuries ahead of him on the depth chart served Grant well, as the special teams ace delivered a touchdown via the air and finished second in routes run for Miami. Leading the Dolphins in receptions and receiving yards, Tua looks for this guy. Grant's elite speed gives him some serious fantasy upside. This poor man’s Tyreek Hill is worth grabbing in-case he finds the end zone again.
