🏈 Files on Miles (Sanders)
Football > Happiness, the best articles of the day, and a visit to the hospital.
Good morning and happy Friday. We all survived another week - and a boring TNF game.
Now let’s get into it before I realize it’s still technically not the weekend and we’ve all got another day at work.
Best articles of the day
FantasyPros highlights 9-players to buy-low/sell-high, including Miles Sanders: In the last two weeks, Sanders workload has increased significantly - He has 78% of the snaps, 91% of the carries and 100% of red-zone touches. More on Sanders below.
Fantasy Footballers reviewed snap counts and provide actionable advice: Elijah Mitchell dominated Week 5 backfield touches despite only seeing a 32% team rush share on the week. But don’t worry, Trey Sermon wasn’t a factor - Elijah’s share was so low because Trey Lance commanded a ridiculous 62% rushing share; Jimmy G is expected to start Week 7.
Fantasy Points provides the best DFS opportunities in a free article (so valuable for start/sit decisions): Start Ricky Seals-Jones, who ranked 6th among TEs in targets (13), 3rd in routes (78), and tied with Mark Andrews for 1st in end zone targets (3) - (Weeks 5-6).
Hope for Miles Sanders
Sanders is averaging only 9.5 carries per game, but offensive coordinator Shane Steichen acknowledged the offense needs to do a much better job of incorporating Sanders into the game plan.
Hopeless Allen Robinson
Poor A-Rob. Tied to poor quarterback play for his entire career, the former Nittany Lion was thrilled to see Justin Fields as his potential passing savior.
The former PPR darling is now WR70, averaging a meager 8.4 PPR points. It’s not all his fault:
Per Marvin Elequin’s Dynasty Report, Robinson is currently the WR24 in air yards share (32.9%) and WR17 in target share (24.8%), but is only averaging 39 receiving yards per game on a career-low 6.5 yards per target
Matt Nagy’s anemic passing attack isn’t taking any downfield shots to Robinson (and can’t connect when they do) evidenced in his career-low average yards per reception.
With a difficult schedule on the horizon, sell low for whatever you can get for Robinson on the trade market.

Hospital Visits
With 30% of my team on the IR, the injury report is part of my daily routine.
FOX's Jay Glazer reports Baker Mayfield is also dealing with a fracture in his non-throwing shoulder, putting his Week 8 status in jeopardy.
Alex Collins (groin) did not practice on Thursday, just as Rashaad Penny returns from a stint on the IR. Grab Penny but don’t expect a bell cow.
Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is expected to return in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. He immediately returns to a WR2.
Travis Kelce (neck) remained limited in Thursday's practice but should be a full go.
Chase Edmonds (shoulder) was limited for the second straight day in Thursday's practice.
Evan Engram was added to the Giants' injury report on Thursday, missing practice with a calf issue (concerning as he missed Weeks 1 & 2 with the same injury).
Quick Slants for Michael Thomas
Per Adam Schefter, Bears’ RB Damien Williams, on the Reseve/COVID-19 list, was not at practice yesterday and couldn’t be cleared until Saturday at the earliest because he’s unvaccinated (there’s a mandatory 10-day waiting period). Fire up Khalil Herbert.
Raw Film Notes by NFL Films legend Greg Cosell from Fantays Points is a great article (no paywall) highlighting his observations from watching tape from most of Sunday’s games. Sample of what’s inside:
“Carson Wentz started to become more decisive in the 2nd half versus the Dolphins week 4 and it has continued versus the Ravens and the Texans, He is playing much more under control working effectively from the pocket.”
Chiefs, Panthers, 49ers & Saints are among teams that made preliminary inquiries for Marlon Mack over the last few weeks.

Tweet of the Day
@Ericpaullin is either a pyscho or a genius. Or a psycho genius. He drafted all week 7 byes but is 5-1 and on top of the league…
Thanks for joining me this morning, now go grab Miles Sanders?
