🏈 Another day, another drug test
Deshaun Watson rumours, Thursday Night Slights, and the Trade Value Chart.
Good morning and welcome to our new subscribers - hope you enjoy the newsletter!
I had the craziest 12-hour shift at work yesterday and we’ve got a potentially disappointing Thursday-Night matchup, so let’s get into it:
Thursday Night Fantasy
A quick preview of every fantasy-relevant player in the Browns & Broncos game, with excerpts from a great FantasyPoints article.
Passing:
Teddy Bridgewater - Bridgewater has been a safe but unspectacular option, no reason to think that changes tonight.
Case Keenum - I hope you don’t have to.
Rushing:
Those backup Browns RBs - The Browns may be forced (or choose) to run the ball against the team surrendering the 4th-fewest fantasy points to the position. Given the lack of options in Week 7, D’Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton are both on the low-end RB2/3 radar and could see enough volume to manage 8+ each, but both are nothing special. Cleveland also has offensive line issues.
Javonte Williams & the guy in Javonte Williams way - As long as they remain in a near 50/50 split, both remain low-end RB2s. That’s especially true this week, taking on a Browns defense that is dedicated to stopping the run.
Receiving:
Per Wes Huber, Donovan Peoples-Jones should see mostly man-to-man from Kyle Fuller, who has permitted 1.68 yards per coverage snap, which ranks 70th out of 84 qualified outside CBs. The Broncos are getting cooked on the deep ball and DPJ profiles as a boom/bust in Week 7. OBJ is a game time decision (shoulder, ego).
Bryce Callahan dominates in the slot, where Jarvis Landry lines up, making Landry a high-risk WR3 (if he manages to return from the IR).
Courtland Sutton has the highest ceiling in this game, and Tim Patrick is quietly becoming a high-floor WR3 (only one game with less than 11 fantasy points). Until Albert O returns, you’re starting TE Noah Fant.
Your fantasy football team going through a tough time too?
Fantasy football is fun, but injuries and bye weeks limit your team - plus you might be missing out on guys you believe in but just can’t acquire. DFS is fun, but one injury decimates your whole lineup.
If only there was a perfect mix of both…

Deshaun Watson Update
ESPN previously reported that Watson likely would be permitted by the NFL to play in 2021/22 if his team allows it. Given the legal uncertainty surrounding his case, Watson's not suspended, though an eventual NFL suspension is obviously a real possibility.
So, there’s a chance Watson plays and a chance he’s traded? Here are the most interesting tweets:
Tua to Washington?
Steelers get Tua?
Are we wasting your time?
A few things are certain: The Texans don’t want Tua, the Dolphins want Watson, and the internet remains undefeated. No one knows where this lands, but Will Fuller is keeping an eye on it:
Quick Slants
Why now is the time to buy Rhamondre Stevenson, and to start praying he improves his pass-blocking.
Myles Garrett goes sleeveless TWICE and both times is “randomly selected” for drug testing after the game. No one on the NFL’s drug committee believes biceps can be the size of tires.
The Jaguars Kicker was also drug tested after making FGs from 40, 54, and 53 yards on Sunday. NFL lowkey trying to #BanKickers?
Dak Prescott moved to No. 1 overall in @greggrosenthal’s QB Index, which rates QB’s based on a variety of factors. A small W for Cowboys fans.
The Reddit Trade Values Chart just dropped - and Darren Waller remains undervalued. Blow-up game incoming.
Tweet of the Day
